Caramelized Banana Pudding
Ingredients
For the Pudding:
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup condensed milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
For the Caramelized Banana Topping:
- 2 ripe bananas (sliced)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
Let it set for a few minutes before serving.
Prepare the Pudding:
In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch over medium heat.
Stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and condensed milk.
Pour the pudding into small serving bowls and let it cool.
Make the Caramelized Banana Topping:
In another pan, melt butter and add brown sugar over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar dissolves and starts bubbling.
Add sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in water and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
Assemble:
Pour the caramelized banana topping over the chilled pudding.
