Homemade Weed Killer

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon of white vinegar (5% acidity or higher)
  • 1 cup of table salt
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap

Instructions:

  1. Combine the white vinegar and table salt in a large container. Stir until the salt dissolves completely.
  2. Add the liquid dish soap and stir gently to mix. The soap helps the solution stick to the leaves of the weeds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle or garden sprayer for easy application.

Usage:

  • Apply the solution on a sunny day for the best results.
  • Spray directly onto the leaves of the weeds, avoiding nearby plants you wish to keep.
  • Repeat as necessary, but avoid oversaturating the soil to minimize long-term salt buildup.

Tips:

  • This recipe is non-selective, meaning it will kill any plant it contacts, so use it with care.
  • Rinse your sprayer thoroughly after use to prevent clogging from salt residue.
