Ingredients

Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes

For Serving

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and drain excess grease.
  2. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 3–5 minutes.
  4. Spoon beef over warm rice.
  5. Add fresh veggies and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
